After weeks of hesitation, American mum Carri Kessler and her husband Michael decided to call their little daughterOttilie, after a British friend. It’s an uncommon name but there's nothing particularly offensive about it.

However, the problem is that in the United States, nobody was able to pronounce Ottilie, Carri stated:
No one could remember it and no one could pronounce it. I was like, "If you say it with a British accent, it sounds really good!” And people said, “But you’re from Maryland."
The realisation came when the little girl’s grandmotheradmitted she could never remember the name. The Kesslers realised their mistake and decided tochange their daughter’s name three months after her birth. Carri explained:
