One mum's toilet paper hoard is destroyed as her kids threw them in the bath

The coronavirus has caused quite the panic in many cities. We have all seen images around the world of empty supermarket isles, with water, canned foods and pasta shelves being themost targeted. But, toilet paper has also been a hugely sought after resource and one mum managed to score 18 rolls of it.

However, she didn't realise that her children had gotten rather creative in the bathtub and filled it with every single roll of toilet paper.

She shared images of the disastrous situation with her friend who had found it hilarious and posted it to Twitter:

While the friend might see the humour in the situation, fellow Twitter users certainly didn't, many left comments criticising the mother for her hoarding:

However, just as many others are defending the mother, claiming that a pack of 18 rolls is quite a regular amount for a family with many sons.

And some commenters are just making light of the situation urging the mother to 'dry it out with a hairdryer' or have a paper mache night with her kids:

This paper gold is being limited in some supermarkets such as Aldi to only four units per customer to help make it fairer tp others. Aldi released the plans in a statement:

"All our stores remain open and continue to serve our valued customers. We have good product availability and our incredible colleagues are working tirelessly to restock and replenish shelves as quickly as they can. As we have seen an unprecedented demand across our range, we will be limiting customer purchases to four units on all products to ensure all of our customers have an opportunity to purchase them. We thank you all for your patience during this time."
