Recently, Jordan made an appearance on Oklahoma's NBC affiliate that he was desperate to be part of a family.
The reporter asked the boy if he could travel anywhere in the world where would it be, to which the boy replied with the most simple answer 'an adoption party for a home'.
The interviewer then continued to ask Jordan a series of questions all of which he used to highlight his desire for a family. They asked him if he met a genie, what his three wishes would be. Jordan responded:
To have a family, and family, family. Those are the only wishes I have.
Jordan also told the public that he would love to become a police officer one day so he could protect and serve the community but that first he would love to be adopted and have a family to call his own. Jordan told Fox 59:
I would just like to have a family to call mom and dad, or just mom, or just dad. I don't really care. The reason it's important is because so I could have some people to talk to anytime I need to. I hope one of y'all pick me.
Jordan's story aired locally last month and since then his fan base has grown astronomically and things are now looking very hopeful on the adoption front.
Christopher Marlowe, the 9-year-old's permanency planning worker said that over the last few weeks there have been over 5,000 applications to adopt Jordan. He told Fox 59:
I'm in the process of reading through those profiles to select a family to try to move forward with. We've had a couple of families that expressed interest in adoption but after we did disclosures, the families decided that it wasn't the right fit for them or their family at this time, so we've had some difficulty finding placement for him.
He continued:
I'm really excited about this and very hopeful this is going to be the breakthrough we needed to find this kid a home.
Marlowe has also spoken to Braisons new family and they said that they were open to the idea of the two boys getting to spend more time together so they don't drift apart.
We can only hope Jordan's next news appearance will be him showing off his new family!
