What was the cause for the outburst?
Max'sparentslogically thought their son was just car sick. They were deeply shocked to discover that a spike planted in the car seat was causing Max's tears and screams. Nichola and Nigel Griffiths realized this when they put their son in the seat without a top because of the heat.
The plastic spike had indeed irritated the baby and left him with a worrisome red mark. While they thought it was a bee sting at first, Nichola and Nigel then discovered the plastic spike that was bothering their son by inspecting the seat. The couple felt responsible for the repeated pain that had been inflicted on Max for 18 months.
A new car seat for baby Max
Nichola and Nigel turned to the car seat brand, Britax. The company examined the defective seat and was able to repair it before sending it back to the family. That was not enough to convince Nichola, who was angered that her baby had been put in danger. Nevertheless, a disaster has been averted and little Max will now fully enjoy his trips in the car.
