Are you expecting a child and you're not sure what to name them? Then maybe you can follow the lead of this Argentinian couple who decided to name their son ‘Ciro Covid.’ Yes, ‘Covid,’ you read that right! This name wasn't given at random, this family decided on the name because the baby was born under complicated circumstances (by caesarean section, at the end of April in the middle of the coronavirus crisis... how cute).

The grandmother explained the choice of this first name in more detail, saying the choice of name 'touched [their] hearts’:
They (the parents) were talking about the fact that their baby was going to become famous because he was born at a difficult time for everyone, and that this was going to make him a strong little man!
Unfortunately for the family, not everyone liked the name ‘Covid.’ In Argentina, this choice even caused a scandal, prompting the hospital where the baby was born to react. The hospital obviously didn't like it either, according to an employee:
I am particularly sad that this happened, and even more so in our hospital. I think it is a total lack of respect for the thousands of people who have died from this virus.
For his part, Leandro Bonzini, deputy medical director of the Ceres regional hospital, added: ‘This name is a wish of the parents and we, as an institution, cannot oppose it.’ This is not the first time since the beginning of the epidemic that parents have decided to choose a name related to the virus. In India, one family decided to name their twins ‘Corona’ and ‘Covid.’ Interesting choice, no?
