On her way to greatness
But that's not all, at the age of three, doctors discovered that she was suffering from Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism that plays on her social interactions.
Adhara's mother saw that her little girl was very smart and decided to take her to see a therapist who concluded the same thing and gave her IQ tests. Adhara Pérez then finished high school before she was 9!
She is currently taking two masters' degrees: one in industrial engineering and the other in systems engineering, while continuing to work on TV sets. She has also already had time to write a book: Do Not Give Up.
Finally, Adhara Pérez was chosen to be part of Forbes' list of the 100 most influential women in Mexico. One thing is certain, we haven't heard the last from this little genius!
The journey of a fighter
She was bullied at school because of her Asperger's syndrome. Her classmates called her a ‘weirdo’ and an ‘oddball.’ Adhara's mother, Nallely, talked about a sad episode in which her little girl was locked in a room by the other pupils. This school bullying plunged the little girl into a deep form of depression, and Adhara no longer wanted to go to school.
Luckily, the girl was able to persevere and even wrote a book about her experiences!
