Sleeping in the same bed
According to Mail Online who extracted the story from Reddit, the story goes like this. This man’s mother was coming to town and he offered for her to stay with him. He told his girlfriend that and as the conversation went, he revealed that he and his mom would be sleeping in the same bed.
His girlfriend’s reaction wasn’t what he expected. She reportedly said:
That's weird. What're you gonna do, have sex with your mom?
The young man shared how shocked he was that his girlfriend would make that comment because, to him, that is very normal. He explains:
My family has always been close. (...) We travel together all the time and get hotels with just 2 queen beds where I would stay in the same bed as my sister. I rather sleep in my bed than sleep on the couch or kick my Mom onto the couch.
Even though he shared his view with his girlfriend she continued to send passive aggressive comments leaving him confused.

A raging debate in the comment section
Of course the story led to many comments and, as usual for Reddit, an online debate was born.
Surprisingly enough, a majority of comments seem to side with him. Comments say:
It’s a red flag, she can’t comprehend people can share a bed and not be sexual.
She also sounds jealous and insecure
However, of course, some other users also have a hard time wrapping their heads around the fact that a grown man would sleep in the same bed as his mom. They write:
I personally find it weird that you slept in bed with your mom when you have a couch, I might suspect mommy’s boy kind of behavior
I personally would never share a bed with either of my parents as an adult or even a teen
I think it’s weird but it just depends on family dynamics. I’m female and would share a bed with my mom if I had to, but not my dad
