At the age of 18, Alejandro Rodriguez decided to come out as gay. The dark-haired and anxious young man told his parents in the car and decided to film the conversation that followed. He proceeded to publish it on social media with the comment: ‘27th July 2018. Today, I came out to my parents. I was so scared and it wasn’t easy to do.’ He will never forget this day.

The young man told his parents in tears that he was afraid they wouldn't love him anymore because of his sexuality. In the video, his parents comforted their son:
You are the same to us, son. We love you. It doesn’t matter to us if you’re gay or not. You’re normal. We will support you in everything you undertake. We’re proud of you.
The video of the touching moment went viral, reaching 145,000 views in just a few hours. Relieved and emotional, the young man expressed his love for his parents in a new message: ‘I loved their reaction and the advice they gave me. I can finally live my life. I love my parents and all the people that have supported me through this journey.’
