Anna Kozlov and her husband Boris were married in 1946 in Russia. But after just three nights together as man and wife, the newlyweds were parted when Boris had to return to his army unit.

Whilst he was gone, Anna and her family were forced to leave their home as they had been classed as 'enemies of the state'. Forced into exile, she was not there when Boris returned and nobody knew where Anna had gone.
Anna says that it was 'the most miserable time of [her] life'. Pressured by their families, both Anna and Boris remarried but they never forgot one another. Boris even wrote a book, dedicated to Anna, the love of his life.
Then, in 2007, more than 60 years after their separation, they found each other again - totally by chance. Boris had returned home to visit his parents' graves and as he stepped out of the car, he saw Anna - standing outside the house in which they had spent their precious three nights as a married couple.
Anna said: 'I thought my eyes were playing games with me, I saw this familiar looking man approaching me, his eyes gazing at me. My heart jumped. I knew it was him. I was crying with joy.'
Anna was sceptical about marrying again - she didn't see the point at their age. But Boris insisted and the couple had a beautiful wedding.
'Since we found each other again, I swear we haven’t had a single quarrel. We’ve been parted for so long and who knows how much is left for us, so we just don’t want to lose time on arguing.' Anna said.
