Originally from the state of Wyoming in the US, Shelly and Jim Golay were a married couple for almost 28 years. Together, they had two children who are now 30 and 32 years old. This beautiful love story began in 1984. The lovebirds who had met in a church decided to get married and go to Disneyland for their honeymoon.

The little family became the owners of the Rocky Mountain Industrial Supply, an industrial distribution and security company. To ABC News magazine, Shelly explained:
'Jim was just an amazing man. Everybody that ever met him loved him. He was always just my rock. And the whole family's rock. And he just had this unwavering faith that was just inspiring. Always had a positive attitude'
Unfortunately, in 2012, Jim was diagnosed with brain cancer. A year later, at the age of 53, Shelly's husband passed away. But Shelly was very surprised on Valentine's Day...
An incredibly romantic move
On February 14th, 2015, the widow received a huge bouquet of flowers. Surprised, she decided to call her children, thinking that this gift came from them.
'My first thought was my kids gave it to me'
Finally, after taking a closer look at the card that was in the bouquet, Shelly found that her husband's number was written on the back.
'I went back to my son and said, "You have to call the flower shop and confirm Dad sent these. I'm too emotional." Sure enough, he had come in that last Valentine's Day and had said, "Just send her flowers for the rest of her life." He set up such an amazing gift for me to receive that'
As you can imagine, in fact, Jim arranged everything before he died. He arranged with the florist for his wife to receive a bouquet of flowers every February 14th for the years to come. Until her last day, Shelly will receive a Valentine's Day gift from her husband Jim. A final proof of love that shows what an extraordinary husband Jim was.
