So, what beauty trends should you keep your eyes peeled for in the new year?
First on the menu is all things skin care with the preservation of the largest organ in the human body.
Probiotics are an example of such preservation. They have long been found in supplements to improve gut health but beauty experts believe that this will be all the rage in 2021. The reason these will be so hot in the coming year is that they naturally help the skin grow its own beneficial bacteria that improves the appearance of skin and reduces inflammation.
Practicing good skin health comes in second place. By this, we mean implementing supplements, skin treatments and rigid morning and night time routines that will allow the skin to thrive. The best part is that all of this can be done from the comfort of your own home. And since the return to how things once were will be gradual, most of us will continue to monitor how much we move around so DIY treatments such as home peels, microneedling and home radiofrequency systems will become increasingly popular in the coming year.
Anything we've already seen in 2020 that will bleed into 2021?
Yes! The mullet. Don't worry, it's not the dated version are fathers were embarrassingly sporting in the 80's but a more sophisticated and fashionable take on it.
Case in point:
Miley Cyrus has been seen rocking the look. The key to making this cut a success? Try playing around with texture and volume and make sure the fringe frames your face in a flattering way.
Surprisingly enough, it's a very versatile hair style that has been seen on the runways and in fashion glossies time and time again so we are convinced this one is a keeper for 2021.
