What is a camel toe?
For those of you who don't know, a camel toe is a term used for when a woman has a wedgie... but in the front. Often the fault of tight fitting clothing, the trend was named after the outline of the labia majora which when wedgied, often bears an incredible resemblance to the foot of a camel.
What's a 'camel toe' knicker?
It was once widely thought that having a camel toe was more of a wardrobe malfunction than a fashion statement, but as it seems this trend has been rising amongst the ranks. On Twitter, several internet users have posted photos of themselves wearing these knickers, which look likeordinary pants, but have pads in the pubic area to mimic labial cleavage. Alternatively, if you don't mind being a little uncomfortable then you can replicate this trend without any special underwear and instead just hike up your trousers so everyone can truly 'read your lips.'
Reactions to the new camel toe trend have obviously been very divided on the web, between those who don't understand this trend and those who encourage it.
This strange trend is in the same vein as long toenails or vagina glitter, which is extremely inadvisable and dangerous. Knickers that proudly expose the vaginal lips seem much more strange than fashionable and surely a little uncomfortable.
