It looks like high-street brand Zara is a firm favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge. She sent royal fashion fans wild by donning a green Zara blazer for St. Patrick’s Day back in March. Now she’s set another fashion trend with another Zara blazer - this time a tailored double-breasted blazer in royal blue.

Kate Middleton’s Zara blazer
Unfortunately - but let’s face it, unsurprisingly - the £59.99 blazer has already sold out (unless you’re prepared to pay wildly inflated prices to get one on eBay that is). However, an almost identical blazer is still available on Zara’s website in a choice of lemon, pale yellow, sea green or sand, all for the same price.
Just like Kate’s blazer, these Tailored Double-Breasted Blazers feature a lapel collar and long sleeves with powerful, pronounced shoulders and front flap pockets. It has a back vent and double-breasted front with six metal buttons on the front. You could leave these open like Kate or do them up for a more formal look.
If these colour options don’t quite do it for you, Zara still have several other blue blazers in slightly different styles. You could get a Textured Double Breasted Blazer in Sky Blue, which has a very similar style to Kate’s or if you really want a more similar colour, the Oversized Double Breasted Blazer is available in ‘bluish’.
International Day of the Midwife
Kate wore her cobalt Zara blazer for an online interview with pioneering midwife Harriet Nayiga to mark International Day of the Midwife on Wednesday 5 May. Harriet is the founder of the charity MILCOT, Midwife-Led Community Transformation, which focuses on adolescent sexual health in Uganda.
