Despite her being transsexual, she was elected to represent her country in the Miss Universe pageant, despite many people being against this decision. The recently coronated Miss Colombia, Valeria Morales, made it clear that she did not accept her Spanish rival’s win which was made evident from the statements she made after winning in Colombia.
