1. Perfect for dry and curly hair: Argan oil has been known for centuries for its highly moisturising properties, both for the skin and for the hair. It is sometimes called "liquid gold", because of its wonderful benefits from its high rate of vitamin E and essential fatty acids. There are different ways to use argan oil to get your hair looking radiant - directly in its natural form, or in the form of a shampoo or hair mask.
2. How to make an argan oil mask: You can make a mask with argan oil to nourish and restructure your dry and curly hair. There are several different recipes to choose from. The first is to mix a tablespoon of argan oil with a tablespoon of castor oil and a ripe whole avocado. Mix the ingredients to form a smooth paste then apply it onto your hair, with particular emphasis on the roots. Another variant of an argan oil mask is to mix a spoonful of argan oil with a spoonful of honey and a whole egg. As with the previous mask, mix well then apply to your dry and curly hair. Leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes then rinse thoroughly with fresh water. To prevent your hair from looking too oily, especially at the roots, wash with your usual shampoo afterwards. Use these masks once or twice a week for a quick and effective result. You can also leave either of these treatments on all night for a deep restructuring.
3. Shampoos with argan oil: Argan oil can also be applied directly to treat split ends. Curly hair is more fragile than straight hair, and can more often become dry and brittle. If you do not have time to make masks two or three times a week then simply add a few drops of argan oil to your shampoo - your hair will be nourished and strengthened with every shampoo! You can also make yourself a shampoo with argan oil by purchasing a base of neutral shampoo and adding the essential oils of your choice plus argan oil.
