But although the A-listers have an advantage in the form of unlimited make-up artists' and stylists' hours, we can borrow some of these paid-for ideas and do not worse than them.

Known as the Queen of Halloween, the model has lifted the lid on just how professional make-up artists can help transform slim physique into the cartoon proportions of Jessica Rabbit.

4. Lizzo as Baby Yoda

For her first costume of 2021, Lizzo went full Baby Yoda all around Hollywood, taking selfies with people who didn't even realize they were getting a pic with the Rumors singer herself. The best Halloween costume is when you turn completely unrecognisable.

5. Halsey as the Corpse Bride

Halsey turned herself into the title character from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride on Halloween 2020 and perfectly re-created Emily's blue skin with the help of a lot of makeup.

7. Demi Lovato as Marie Antoinette

Demi Lovato kicked off their Halloween 2019 festivities with a look inspired by Marie Antoinette. It's a good thing their pretty head is still on.

8. Joey King as Lord Voldemort

The Kissing Booth star gave in to her Harry Potter nostalgia and dressed as the one who shall not be named.
