Besides his undeniable talent as musician and producer, Pharrell Williams has been known for his incredibly fresh-looking and –quite literally– flaw-free skin.

Lucky for us, the 47-year-old has just come out with his very own skincare line claiming to be 100% vegan and catered to all races and genders. The rapper shared his views on what taking care of one's skin means to him:
We’re creating for humans; we are all born in the same skin. We believe that every individual has the potential to understand themselves better, and wake up everyday feeling empowered to turn good intentions into actions. Our goal is to help you in this quest.
Among the hundreds of skincare lines designed to help us protect our skin, it really is refreshing to see someone with as much influence as Pharrell Williams want to include everyone in the conversation.
Often, skincare lines and beauty products have had the tendency to neglect the inclusion of people of colour. Whether that was in the creation of a formula that would simply not work for certain skin types and tones or even down to the lack of representation of coloured people in advertisements.
Even more refreshing is the fact that Williams has decided to break binary codes by marketing his line to all genders.
A 'three-minute facial' routine
As seen in his morning skincare routine on Vogue's Youtube channel, the line consists of 3 products that can be used individually or as a three-step routine that can be purchased together for £76.
First on the list is the Rice Powder Cleanser at £25. The cleanser has been formulated with micronized rice powder and fruit AHAs to gently cleanse skin ridding it of dirt and make-up should you want to use it as a make-up remover.
Following this is the Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator going for £45 which contains 8% glycolic acid and enzymatic exfoliants to avoid being too abrasive for the skin.
Finally, the Humidifying Cream at £37 is a moisturizer designed to provide intense hydration with the help of ingredients such as squalane and snow mushroom extract.
Competing celebrity skincare lines
With Selena Gomez launching her own range of vegan and cruelty free skincare products, this wouldn't be the first time a celebrity jumps on the opportunity to monetize on the ever-booming beauty industry. However, in Williams case, his products were designed as objects first and foremost:
The products are something you can have on your counter and live in your home. The bright green packaging represents health and life and preservation and of course we wanted to include braille on the packaging because inclusivity was really important to us.
