Christmas at home
We may not be able to visit the Christmas markets this year, but Aldi are bringing us a taste of them at home with their new Gingerbread Mulled Wine. Costing less than £4 for a 75cl bottle, it’s a perfect festive tipple for those long winter nights–especially when served with a few gingerbread men!

If you’re not such a fan of the gingerbread idea, Aldi have also got you covered with two other types of mulled wine. Their cheapest value option Mulled Wine is priced at just £2.69 for a 75cl bottle. Despite its low price it’s sure to get you in the festive spirit with its fruity and spicy flavours.
Finally, Aldi’s premium Specially Selected Mulled Wine is priced at £4.99. Featuring notes of oak, spice and red fruits as well as the traditional clove and cinnamon, Aldi say this mulled wine is a ‘true Christmas corker–a deep, full-bodied red made with Spanish Tempranillo wine and bursting with traditional flavours.’
Christmas Retailer of the Year
It’s hardly surprising that Aldi’s Christmas range is sounding so good–earlier this year they were named Christmas Retailer of the Year in the Quality Food Awards 2020. A whopping 37 products from their Christmas range beat out other supermarkets to win prizes–although it’s not been revealed which they were yet.
Aldi’s Managing Director of Corporate Buying, Julie Ashfield, said:
We are over the moon with the results of this year’s Quality Food Awards so far. To be recognised as Christmas Retailer of the Year is extremely humbling and demonstrates that great tasting, exceptional quality products do not have to come at a premium price.
