Has the Aldi product’s size really shrunk?
'Shrinkflation' refers to the phenomenon where many products (including food) today have noticeably shrunk in size, while the price stays the same. So, in effect, customers end up paying more money for less or the same amount of the item.
But as per the report by 7new, the Aldi fish fillet brand Ocean Royale Golden Crisp Crumbed Fish Fillets has not actually decreased in size.
Some comments pointed this out too. One said,
They’re 425g, that seems about right. Box is too big
Another one reasoned,
The product is sold on weight, so just because the box isn’t full that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re missing out on anything
