Which products are affected?
The Co-Op has recalled their Irresistible Carrot Cake (Best Before Date 14 March 2021) and their Irresistible Coffee and Walnut Cake (Best Before Date 20 March 2021). This is because of potential glass contamination. These products may contain pieces of glass which would make them unsafe to eat.
The Co-Op has also recalled their British 12 Beef Meatballs 350g (Best Before Date 05 March 2021). This is due to the possibility of pieces of plastic being found in the product. This would also make them unsafe to eat. The Co-Op has apologised for any inconvenience caused to its customers.
Lidl has also recalled a product due to the possible presence of plastic. Customers are advised not to consume packs of Crownfield Wholegrain Wheat Bixies 36 (720g) with the Best Before Dates 10 January 2022, 11 January 2022 and 12 January 2022. Lidl GB also apologised for any inconvenience caused.
