Sleep remains an elusive subject of scientific inquiry. The problem of achieving a good night’s sleep has been the subject of study since decades and now even you can get involved in helping further sleep research, while being paid handsomely to do so. Even better, having your fill of great cheeses every night.

As reported by Food&Wine, Sleep Junkie, which is a website for mattress reviews as well as tips on how to get a good night’s rest, is currently seeking participants who would be willing to eat a variety of cheese every night before bed for three months straight.
For doing this, the participants or ‘dairy dreamers’ would be compensated with $1,000.
The purpose of the study
The main objective of this research is to test out one of the most popular sleep theories out there, and study if eating cheese right before sleeping gives nightmares and impedes good sleep, or if this belief is totally unfounded.
As per the Sleep Junkie website,
In order to test this theory we are hiring a team of five ‘dairy dreamers’ to experiment on the impact that eating cheese really has on our sleep quality, energy levels and whether it increases the likelihood of nightmares.
All costs of the cheeses to be consumed over the course of the study will be borne by the company.
Requirements to qualify for the job
If you found the research convincing and the thought of filling up on dairy every night seems like something right up our alley, here are the additional qualifications you must fulfil for a spot as a ‘dairy dreamer.’
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have good writing skills, be honest about the study and its impact.
If you do not have consistent sleeping schedule, or are unable to commit to writing about your sleep regularly or have lactose intolerance, this job is definitely not for you.
You can fill in the applications here. The last date to apply for this dream job (for some) is February 10.
