Growing tomatoes without seeds
Yes, it is possible to grow tomatoes in your garden or on your windowsill without having to buy seeds. Keep reading for an easy way to do so as inspired by a French publication.
Stages of preparation
- First, you need a large enough pot filled with soil.
- Cut your overripe tomatoes into slices and lay them on the soil.
- Then cover them with more soil or compost. But make sure to only cover them with a thin layer of soil so that you don’t suffocate the tomatoes. If you fancy giving it a go, you could even make your own fertiliser!
Harvest your seedlings within two weeks
About ten days after you planted your tomatoes, you will see the first shoots start to emerge. Then, after one to two weeks, you will be able to collect around fifty seedlings that you will be able to use as you wish.
