KFC fans should gear up for some big changes to come in the coming months. KFC has announced that it would overhauling its menu so as to be able to spend more time on innovation.

As reported by Nation's Restaurant News, KFC has announced that it would be testing out two new chicken sandwiches called the Ultimate BBQ KFC Chicken Sandwich and the Spicy Slaw Chicken Sandwich.
However, unfortunately, these new items would not be available in all KFC restaurants as of now. The brand is making these available only in their franchises in Tampa, Florida.

New items to be tested out by KFC
The Ultimate BBQ KFC Chicken Sandwich includes a crispy chicken filet with BBQ sauce and bacon. The Spicy Slaw Chicken Sandwich includes an extra crispy filet with KFC’s signature cole slaw and spicy mayo. Both the sandwiches come on brioche buns.

We know our customers are looking for new, distinctive sandwich options and the Ultimate BBQ and Spicy Slaw offer flavor variety that builds on classic KFC ingredients. We think fans of spicy food will particularly love the kick of heat in our Spicy Slaw Sandwich

KFC’s latest menu shake-up
KFC U.S. has also announced a major menu shake-up, and will be removing a whole assortment of fan-favourite items including Kentucky Fried Chicken wings, popcorn chicken and a lot more.
The items being removed from the KFC menu include Kentucky Fried Chicken wings, popcorn chicken, Nashville Hot sauce, strawberry lemonade, and chocolate chip cookies.
The reason for these sweeping changes by KFC is that the brand is trying to implement ‘a menu simplification,’ that would provide the company more time for innovation.
