Now, according to Lad Bible, KFC fans in Australia have some serious reason to celebrate as the fast-food restaurant is going to be bringing back this finger-lickin’ good menu item after a long 2 year’s wait. However, KFC Australia is bringing back the Popcorn Chicken Slab to menus for a limited time only.
KFC’s Popcorn Chicken Slab
As per the report, Popcorn Chicken Slab consists of a 6-pack bread roll which is stuffed with KFC Popcorn Chicken and topped with delicious smokey barbecue sauce and extra tangy cheese. It costs $10.95 AUD.
As per the post shared by KFC Australia on Instagram,
It’s better than a sandwich – it's a Popcorn Chicken® Slab, with a lil’ cheese and BBQ sauce, served on our classic dinner rolls
The menu item will be available only in mainland Australia
The report also stated that unfortunately, the returning menu item will be available only in mainland Australia, and not in Tasmania.
KFC Australia CMO Sally Sprigs is quoted as saying that, after first introducing the Popcorn Chicken Slab in 2020, it was so popular that they had a lot of people requesting its return.
She further stated,
So, we’ve listened to our fans, and it’s now once again available across all our restaurants for everyone to enjoy – either with friends or if you’re game, all to yourself!
Like all good things, not even The Slab can last forever, so get in quick because this encore tour won’t last forever.
The fan-favourite item is returning only for a limited time and would be available in all KFC restaurants in Australia from now until October 31.
