McDonald's adds new Cheesy Jalapeño Sausage Egg McMuffin to its breakfast line-up

This summer has already been off to an exciting start for fast-food lovers with McDonald's unveiling its summer menu shake-up with brand new menu items. Apart from adding new drinks to their summer menu, fast food companies seem to be catering more and more to spice lovers. Earlier, Burger King launched Fiery Nuggets to satisfy fast-food fans' desire for spicy new summer favs.

Now, as reported by Chew Boom, McDonald's too has added a spicy new twist to its breakfast menu. The fast-food giant has just introduced Cheesy Jalapeño Sausage Egg McMuffin, which comes in a staggering six different variations.

McDonald's new Egg McMuffins

As per the report, the new sandwich consists of savoury hot sausage, an egg, cheesy sauce, and jalapeño slices on a toasted English muffin.

Sadly, this new menu item is not available everywhere, and is only being sold in select locations in Louisiana and Texas.

As per Chew Boom, Cheesy Jalapeño Sausage Egg McMuffin is currently available until August 13, 2023. So, if you are lucky enough to live around the aforementioned areas, go get your new Sausage Egg McMuffins while you can.

News about the new launch was posted on r/fastfood forum on Reddit, and fans had a variety of reactions to the news.

One fan hilariously quipped,

Fans who tried the new menu item, shared their experiences. One such comment read,

Just had it this morning in SoCal and it was so good. It wasn't spicy at all, which was disappointing. The jalapenos and cheese sauce had good flavor though.

Another wrote of their plans to try it asap, stating,

Haven't tried it yet but saw it was available at the Acworth, GA location near me. Tomorrow will be my taste test.
