As reported byThrillist, Mac & Cheese could soon become an ingredient in the McDonald’s Big Mac, one of the most popular burgers ever. Mac & Cheese giant Kraft has announced their desire to be added to the burger and has launched a nation-wide call-to-action to achieve its aim.
Kraft’s nationwide call-to-action
Kraft had earlier shared a tweet along with a website called WhereTheMac.com and captioned the post as
Ok, hear me out, where's the mac in the Big Mac?
In a statement shared with Thrillist Christina Brown, Associate Brand Manager at Kraft Heinz, is quoted as saying,
For years, we've seen our fans add Kraft Mac & Cheese to their burgers from the comfort of their homes. But why can’t we make it easier for comfort craving enthusiasts?
We believe that the time for change is now, and we are hopeful that America's most iconic burger, the Big Mac, will start to add the most important mac of all
As per Thrillist, at WheresTheMac.com, fans will be able to send Kraft’s ‘Where's the Mac’ Tweet to McDonald’s with their personalised message and can also fill out McDonald's corporate feedback forms to ask for Mac & Cheese in their Big Mac.
Fan reactions
Fans have had mixed reactions to the post. One McDonald’s ex-employee said,
On behalf of someone who works at a McDonald's. I'd like to never have to see our kitchen make this. It would be an unholy disaster.
Kraft’s latest Tweet urges fans to post a photo of their macaroni-less Macs using the hashtag #WheresTheMac to win a free Kraft Mac & Cheese box.
The caption states,
Tweet us a photo of your mac(aroni)-less Big Mac + #WheresTheMac to score a free KMC box to make the best ever menu hack on your own. Limited # available. See rules in bio for alternative entry
