These incidents are especially upsetting when it is kids who are on the receiving end of such mishaps. For example, many children have found shocking things inside Happy Meals. Again, McDonald's has been in the news earlier this month after its chicken nuggets caused severe injuries to a child.
Now, as reported by CBS News, a McDonald's restaurant is in the news after a toddler faced a potentially deadly situation after finding a dangerous bag at the fast-food location's play area.

Toddler faces dangerous situation at McDonald's playground
As per the report, a mom took her toddlers to the McDonald's at Edgewater, off Sheridan Boulevard to get some pancakes in the morning.
She describes their morning trip to McDonald's saying,
We had our breakfast there I was helping my youngest finish up his breakfast while my oldest, Atlas, went to the playground.
One of her toddlers went to the kid's area at the restaurant to play, and found a mysterious abandoned bag. She describes the shocking find inside the bag,
He said, 'mommy look what I found' and it was a little bag. It had like 50-60 pills in it that were blue
She recognised the pills as drugs and sent a photo of it to a pharmacists. She also reported it to the Edgewater police.

The pills found at the McDonald's were deadly
As soon as the police took a look at the bag of pills, they knew that the bag contained deadly Fentanyl pills.
The mom continued describing the harrowing encounter saying,
As soon as we walked up and put it in there the police officer like put on gloves and said you need to go wash your hands, this is not oxy this is fentanyl
It could have killed him, within minutes
Luckily for the family, the pills were recovered by the mother before anyone was hurt. The relieved mother has this advice to give to others with little children,
Showing your kids and having conversations and kind of creating a plan like, 'if you see it don't touch tell mom and dad. It could have been a very different day.
As per the report, a McDonald's spokesperson has expressed that the company 'will assist law enforcement during their investigation.'
