McDonald’s customer received burger with bite taken of it
The angry customer reported that when she returned to the McDonald’s with the already-eaten burger, there was another customer there who too had been served burger with bites taken out of it already.
The manager of the McDonald’s replaced the burgers of both the customers. This response did not satisfy the customer since the incident showed a clear lack of attention to hygiene and sanitation.
She is quoted by the report as saying,
The manager said hold on, went away and came back with two new McSpicy’s for me and the other man.
I said do you think that’s acceptable and okay just to hand me another one and no apology or anything and he said no and then apologised, he then said he would refund my order.
I said it wasn’t about that its about why I have been sold a item that had been eaten by someone else or a member of staff and how disgusting and unhygienic this was.

The burgers were from a returned order
It turns out that the already-eaten burgers that ended up with the customers were from a former wrong order, which has been returned by previous customers. The returned items were simply put back on the shelf without checking, and resold.
The customer explains,
The manager then phoned me back about half hour later to say he had checked the CCTV and it was a returned McSpicy from a wrong order of a young boy and had been put back on the hot shelf and then resold, he said this was the same with the other customer that was there.
The incident left a bad taste in the mouth of the mother-daughter pair, regarding McDonald’s food and safety practices.
McDonald’s has issued a statement saying they have issued an investigation of the matter.
