Food safety and hygiene are the minimum benchmarks that customers expect restaurants to adhere to. While there could be occasional slip-ups that the restaurant might make behind-the-scenes, it is quiet another matter to be caught red-handed by a customer.

As reported by The Sun, a customer in a McDonald’s restaurant in Great Linford, Milton Keynes experienced just that, when he caught the staff doing something so unhygienic that he had to intervene.
McDonald’s employee irks customer with his lack of hygiene
A TikToker named Cambell (@campbells_back) shared his experience in a TikTok video, which has more than 800,000 views as of now. He captioned it as,
I gave the lad £7.50 in change, he chucked it in the till and gave me change back, he took another order on the till then scratched hes nose turned around and started making Tomorrow's breakfast wraps
The employee continued making wraps without washing his hands after having scratched his nose and dealt with cash.
Campbell goes on to explain,
Out the corner of my eye I see him scratching his nose and thought to myself you dirty f**** but literally straight after he's turned around grabbed some cheese then started to make the following day's breakfast flatbreads.
In the time I was sitting there he had touched his nose, touched food, then touched the till, then touched the door then carried on grabbing bacon and cheese, no gloves or general hygiene at all.
Why is food being prepared in the order room where money is being handled?
The customer confronted the McDonald’s employee
Campbell confronted the employee, who conceded that he shouldn’t have been doing what he was doing. The customer then asked to speak to the manager, who told him he had no idea about it.
The TikToker then demanded the food to be thrown away, and the manager gave in and binned the food.
I don't care what anybody says it's disgusting and shouldn't be happening.
There will be people who will say its a waste of food that homeless could have but at the end of the day that sort of neglect with food can cause health issues and make people sick.
According to The Sun, there hasn’t been a comment from McDonald’s at the time the report was published.
