McDonald's has been able to build one of the most recognisable and well-loved fast-food brands in the world. However, the sheer scale and volume of its operation means that unfortunately the stream of news about McDonald's customers getting horrible service or being served weird things in their food never seems to stop. Just earlier this week, a customer found a vape inside her daughter's Happy Meal.

Many customers in the past have taken the legal route to make the company accountable for unacceptable business practices. For example, earlier this year, McDonald's was fined after some shocking revelation of serious violations at many of its franchisees. The company was fined again after its chicken nuggets causes severe injuries to a child.
Now, as reported by WHIO TV, what a McDonald's customer found inside her burger has once again raised questions about food safety and hygiene standards practiced by McDonald's restaurants.
McDonald's customer finds unacceptable object inside her burger
As per the report, a woman from Riverside, picked up her McDonald's burger from the restaurant located on Harshman Road. As she dug into her burger and began eating, she made a horrible discovery. There was something inside her burger that plopped out from within: it was an actual nose ring! She describes the moment saying,
We were just eating and there was so much mayo and lettuce, so I took my fry to go wipe the side of it off, and I heard this plop in the box. It was a nose ring
The disgusted customer immediately stopped eating and took a photo of the nose ring and informed McDonald's about the incident.

Customer unsatisfied with McDonald's response to the matter
The customer told WHIO TV that she felt like her complaint was ignored. She highlighted how lucky they were that she did not accidentally swallow the piercing, or her 3-year-old niece who was eating with her, was not the one who found it.
Regardless, the customer was left shocked and disgusted. As per New York Post, she says,
This is someone’s nose piercing that was physically in their body.
My stomach turned for like two days.
An initial investigation conducted on the restaurant by Public Information Manager for Public Health- Dayton & Montgomery County, did not reveal any wrong-doing on its part when it comes to food prep. As per one official,
We didn’t find anything today that indicated problems with food preparation
This situation is still developing, so further comments on the incident are still awaited.
