As reported by Food&Wine, very soon, Pizza Hut is going to be bringing back a fan-favourite classic item, The Big New Yorker.
The menu item has had such a cult following over the years that fans have even signed petitions to bring it back. And finally, Pizza Hut is obliging them by re-introducing this golden oldie to its menu.
The Big New Yorker pizza
Pizza Hut first launched the Big New Yorker 24 years ago and this delicious 16-inch pizza is set to make a comeback right in time for the Super Bowl.
This pizza is definitely way bigger than the typical pies at Pizza Hut. Each pie comes with six massive, foldable slices made with sweet marinara sauce and Parmesan oregano seasoning and of course your topping of choice.
The price for one order of this ‘authentic New York pizzeria’ style pizza starts at $13.99.
Availability of the fan-favourite returning item
This vintage super-hit menu item will be available for purchase from February 1, 2023. Fans can enjoy this pizza for a limited time only since it is not a permanent menu item. If you have a Hut Rewards membership, you can be one of the lucky ones to enjoy this pizza a day early, from January 31.
Lindsay Morgan, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut is quoted as saying,
The Big New Yorker was a huge hit when we launched it in 1999, setting the stage for future industry innovations like Pizza Hut Melts and Detroit-Style pizza.
At 30% larger than our large pizza, now is the perfect time to answer our customers' requests and bring back The Big New Yorker in a big way right before the big game next month.
