The UK’s very first permanent vegan ‘butchery’ is set to open next week just in time for World Vegan Day, serving faux meats made out of soy and seitan.
With the vegan movement growing every day it is no shock that the tiny grocery store dedicated to vegan meats just isn’t cutting it anymore.

Luckily, London is getting its very own permanent vegan ‘butchery’. The idea is not an entirely new one but this is the first time a vegan meats store will be opening on a permanent basis.
Rudy’s Vegan Butcher is set to open on the 1st of November in Islington, right in time for World Vegan Day.
Ahead of their debut, the eatery has created CGI images of their store which looks exactly like your regular butchers, but the meat is entirely plant-based!
The butchery will sell delicious vegan delights such as homemade pastrami, dirty burger patties, cheeze sauce & chilli-non-carne as well as rack of jack, lobstah salad, meatballs, barbecue shredded pulled porc and chick’n lover pate.
Last year the dutch brand The Vegetarian Butcher, backed by Unilever, opened a pop-up shop in east London. While the pop-up was a huge success, founder Jaap Korteweg had another vegetarian butcher in the Netherlands to return to.
For those of you who don’t live in London but still want a taste of ethical goodness, Rudy’s Vegan Butcher will be carrying out nationwide delivery. And, all orders placed on World Vegan Day will also receive a free pack of baycon.
And, 100 lbs of baycon will also be up for given away for free for the first 200 people though the doors on opening day.
So, if you’re avegetarian or vegan in London, or if you just want to try it out, then head to Rudy’s Vegan Butcher on the 1st of November. You really can’t lose!
