Are you ready to put your toilet knowledge to a test?
Here is why two buttons are better than one
Whilst some of us have a standard toilet handle, more and more loos start having what is called a dual flush. The latter features two buttons instead of one, and not for aesthetic reasons.
Cindy, a cleaning fan who shares hacks and tips under the username @cleansnob, recently posted a very informative video on TikTok showing viewers how to correctly use a two-buttoned toilet.
She explained that the way you send your private business down should depend on whether you do a number one or a number two.
The influencer said:
How to flush a water saver toilet full flush and half flush depending on what business you do.
The biggest one is for a full flush poop. The smaller one is a half-flush pee.
It turns out, the purpose of the dual flush is to save water.
The toilet will conserve water when flushing a number one using about half the amount of water used to flush a number two.
