A Horrifying Accident Left This Cat Without A Face - But He Survived Against All Odds

When this poor cat chase suffered a horrific injury as a kitten, his future was bleak, to say the least. It was miraculous that he survived. However, as a result, he suffered incurable injuries.

Determined to give her beloved pet the best life possible, Melissa Smith and her family continue to treat Chase with the love, care and attention every animal deserves.

Thanks to Chase's unique look, he's even developed himself quite the following. On his Facebook page, maintained of course by Melissa Smith, updates on his life and photos are shared regularly.

Originally covered by People Magazine over a decade ago when he was 4 years old, Chase is still alive and kicking at the tender age of 14 now.

While he was once known as Chase No Face, he now goes by another name that flips his condition and spins it as a positive: Chase Heart Face. It does look like a heart, doesn't it?

If one thing's for sure it's that this unique cat is as miraculous as it is a little strange looking. But it's thanks to people like Melissa Smith that special animals like this still get to live the life any animal deserves.
