Why not leave a little space in town so that the water fowl can get around safely?

In order to make the inhabitants of big cities in England aware of the plight of pets and animals in cities, The Canal & River Trust association in the UK has created special temporary lanes for ducks.
Think of others
These lanes were created near pavements in the cities of London, Manchester and Birmingham. The particular markings were painted directly onto the streets of English cities and they were enhanced with pictograms obviously representing water fowl.
Only just put in place, photographs of these ‘duck lanes’ have become viral on the internet and have been shared thousands of times.
Space, place and nature
The main motivation behind this bizarre innovation was to make city dwellers understand that all living beings have a right to a little space in the city, including birds and therefore ducks as well.
The Canal & River Trust is responsible for the managements of the country’s canals, rivers and waterways, including the animals that live in these aquatic zones. Thus if we use their habitat for travel and to transport goods, the least we can do is give them a little space in our urban environment!
