1. Behaviour: The English Bulldog is not very active and likes to sleep a lot. He likes to take short walks with his masters but he will soon be out of breath. The Bulldog is often labeled as lazy because it can sleep all day. However, this dog is very playful and enjoys the company of children. He will play everything: throwing balls and lint and cardboard to nibble. The English Bulldog is very faithful and he defends his masters very well. It is a very gentle dog that particularly likes to be stroked.
2. Living conditions: The English Bulldog is not made to live outside. It cannot withstand temperature changes and cannot stay in direct sunlight. English Bulldogs can quickly die from dehydration if there is no water at hand and they should never be left in the car when it's hot. This breed of dog has a small muzzle with an advanced jaw which makes breathing difficult. As a result, the Bulldog is known to snore and makes many small noises when he plays and runs.
3. Characteristics: Although the Bulldog is a mastiff, it is not known to drool except when he eats or when his masters give him food. Like all dogs, this dog is stubborn and must be well-trained. Bulldogs love to play and so it is important to train them through play. The English Bulldog loves calm and doesn't mind being alone although it likes to be in the company of its masters. However, it is a very good watchdog that remains attentive to all sounds.
