1. Origins: Whilst we are sure that the Chihuahua comes from Mexico, the other aspects of its origins are still uncertain. However, some engraved stones show dogs that strongly resembled the chihuahua during the Toltec and Aztec periods. He would have taken his name from the state of Chihuahua.
2. A robust and stubborn animal: Considered by popular belief as the ideal lapdog, the chihuahua is particularly robust and is an ideal dog for hiking, as long as it does not spend too much energy. They may be long-haired or short-haired. In terms of character, the Chihuahua is probably one of the most stubborn dogs of the canine species. It is therefore advisable to raise it with as much firmness as larger dogs, otherwise you may find yourself with a tyrannical animal. The Chihuahua must always be socialised from an early age to be able to accept the presence of strangers later.
