In one small German town, a curious discovery was made in a plastic sack just outside of a busy skatepark. In what became the 4th case of this nature since 2013, a hedgehog was found trapped in a garbage bag... and the innocent animal had been lit on fire. According to local authorities, the criminal who committed the heinous act stuffed the hedgehog in the bag and then lit the entire bag on fire, leaving the critter to suffocate and burn to death.

One eagle eyed member of a local animal protection association spotted the bag and managed to free the hedgehog. Thankfully the animal was still alive, yet in a terrible condition.
Police desperately searching for leads
A spokesperson for the association explains: 'We took him to a vet who was able to save the animal. He has to stay there overnight, so tomorrow we’ll pick him up and help him back to health.'
