The internet has been crying out after the terrible abuse one dog suffered at the hands of a road crew in India. As a dog lay sleeping on the road, road crew allegedly poured the boiling tar on the legs of the poor animal near the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.

IndiaToday.in claims that the dog was already dead when the road began construction. However one report, quoting locals, claims that the dog was indeed alive and howling in pain when tar was poured on it.
‘The dog’s legs were buried under the tar and it was writhing in agony. The workers refused to break the road to remove it. The dog died after’, said local resident Virendra Singh.
Hysteria in the streets of India
People on scene to view the heinous act were certainly not silent in the face of the abuse. Angry protesters seized the construction vehicles and halted work forcing a officials to come to the scene to break it up.
Agra police arrested the construction company’s supervisor, the driver of the steamroller and two construction workers on Thursday morning. They appeared in court and were granted bail, the Times of India reports.
