The Good Life Dog Rescue shelter's staff have issued an urgent appeal in a bid to find a home for Sky, a small and very friendly Stafford who ‘is not coping well in kennels’ due to her anxiety issues. They say that the poor pup finds ‘being homeless tough’ which makes her mental health struggles even worse.

Dumped due to her anxiety issues
Sky first came to Good Life Animal Rescue from the local stray kennels under difficult and sad circumstances. She was then adopted but got her heart broken after the new owner refused to seek behaviourist support and instead dumped her back at the shelter a week later due to her anxiety issues.
According to the rescue, the now 6-year-old pup got very nervous ‘with the man of the house’ and hasn’t received any help with her mental health struggles.
The pup has been in the shelter ‘for a very long time’, prompting the staff to go online with an urgent appeal, hoping to find ‘a special home with quiet time, lots of walks and a one-to-one’ for Sky.

‘Female home preferred’
According to Good Life Dog Rescue, Sky is a very loving dog but struggles to cope with too much pressure in her life, therefore she needs to be the only furry kid in the house. As this friendly dog can be anxious at times, her new owner’s limitless patience and plenty of time to settle in are essential.
Her ideal owners would be a single person or an experienced couple who love Staffords.
The charity wrote on their website:
This lady deserves to be the apple of her adopter's eye so a home as an only dog is a must. We fly a flag for the Staffords left behind in local stray kennels.
As the pup already had a negative experience with ‘the man of the house’, without the charity disclosing the details, they insist that Sky would benefit greatly from a fully ‘female home’or at least a female presence.

A new owner is up for a treat
Sky, with her high energy levels, is described as a ‘ball and toy crazy’ pup. She loves her walks and woodland adventures and will keep her special human entertained. She also adores a cuddle when she gets to know you, so a new owner is up for loads of kisses and hugs.
The charity is heartbroken to see Sky unwanted and offer behaviourist support just so that the pup finds her happy ending at last.
