Cats are known for their all-day-long naps and laid-back attitude, yet many of them prefer enrichment and games when offered. This is not the case with kitties from these five breeds. They’re still likely to choose the couch. Here are the laziest cats revealed.

Persian
Persians are well-known for being lazy bones and their bad rep is certainly not a myth. Persians enjoy lounging around the house with their special humans. Although they may seem to be a fancier cat breed, they adapt quite well to life in a flat with no outdoor access.
Ragdoll
This is probably the most laid-back of all cat breeds. These kitties are gentle and affectionate. They enjoy cozying around the house all day long. If you’re looking for a cat to help you de-stress after an exhausting time at work, a Ragdoll is your buddy.
British Shorthair
The aristocratic British Shorthair is calm and has impeccable manners. These felines love their comfy spots and don’t leave them easily.
Not terribly affectionate, they are described as being somewhat aloof. They will remind you they love you occasionally by following you around the house or by accepting cuddling but don’t have too high expectations from this lazy breed.
Maine Coon
The largest of all house cats, these gentle giants are laid-back and calm. Their favourite thing is to curl up and sleep around all day long. Main Coons are known for being very loving pets who follow their owners around in search of the company.
Despite the size, these lazy fluffies are easy to take care of and do not require lots of grooming.
Russian Blue
These insanely beautiful cats are much more relaxed than many other felines and are ideal for city life as they don't require much space. They are more than happy lazying around a flat like fluffy potato sacs.
These kitties are very independent. They will chill alone while you are at work and enjoy your company when you return.
