Loves her attention
Poor little Mabel is not someone who can be taken out for a walk once and then be expected to spend her time sleeping. She needs a house where people can give her attention because always needs someone to be around her and play with her. Being one of the warmest and most loving dogs, she would make an affectionate pet for a loving home. However, since she’s only just a puppy she can get over-excited at times and bark and jump at guests.
Mabel is in the learning stage of her life and requires a loving family who can be patient with her and teach her new tricks. A perfect home for her would be an only adult home with an outside area where she can play to her heart’s content. As she nips and jumps, she is not suitable for a house with children. Although, another dog in the house might help her bring out her best self in the future.
How to deal with over-energetic dogs?
Everybody loves a furry baby roaming around the house, happy about everything and overjoyed at the arrival of the guests. But sometimes, it just gets too much. No matter how much you love your pet, an over-energetic dog can be difficult to be with. Here’s how you can deal with an over-energetic dog:
Wear them out
Take your dog out on walks or provide them daily adequate exercise. If they get worn down and tired, they would be easier to deal with at home. Let them use all their energy when they are out.
Keep them stimulated
Keeping your dog’s mind stimulated is the key to reducing their energy. That’s where playtime comes in – teach them new games and tricks. Mental exhaustion is always more tiring than physical exhaustion.
Encourage calm behaviour
When your dog is calm and at peace, give them more love and affection so they get encouraged to be calmer more often.
