1. Pitfall traps: The plants have liquid deposits in the mouth of the plant which contain digestive enzymes and bacteria. With this, it helps trap their prey.

2. Flypaper traps: The plants create sticky mucus that they use to trap their prey.

3. Snap traps: The clever plants use their leaves to quickly trap their prey.

4. Bladder traps: The plants form a vacuum inside their bladder that is used to attack their prey.

5. Lobster traps: The plants will force their prey to move towards their digestive system.

Top Carnivorous Plants

1. Sarracenia: This plant is from the United States. The plant's leaves have evolved into a funnel shape to make it easier to trap their prey!

2. Genlisea: These plants grow in wet to semi-wet environments. They can be found in Central America, Africa, or South America. Their roots mainly capture and kill the small insects.

3. Nepenthes: These plants can be found in hot and humid regions. The plant is filled with fluid or a thick syrup. This is used to attract their prey!

4. Pinguicula: The leaves on this plant are very sticky and this is what they use to attract their prey!

5. Drosera: This is the most common carnivorous plant. They capture their prey by having a thick mucous layer.

6. Aldrovanda Vesiculosa: This plant lives in the water and catches small invertebrates. They will use rapid movement to catch their prey.

7. Dionaea Muscipula: Also known as the Venus flytrap. This plant is from the United States. They capture their prey by quick movement and have tiny hairs in their inner surface.
