Adopted but returned to the shelter
Digger, a 3-year-old Patterdale, came to Good Life Dog Rescue as a stray dog. The pup was beyond happy after he had been adopted recently. But sadly, the life with his new owner didn’t work out resulting in the heartbroken pooch returning to the shelter five months later.
According to the rescue, ‘his owners felt they could not give Digger what he needed’ as the pooch seemed to have been too protective over his humans once settled in.
Described as ‘one very loving dog’, this furball likes to stay active and is made for walks and hikes.
Looking for a special home
According to the Good Life Dog Rescue, all their dogs have been through a sad and difficult life and come into their care in need of special love from ‘rescue flag flyers’ who are prepared to give them time, dedication and patience. And Digger is no exception.
Good Life Dog Rescue wrote:
He loves his ball and his playtimes and we feel a confident owner and home that are super active and can burn energy would be ideal. Digger has shown no issues with dogs at kennels however due to his confidence we feel that home as the only dog is best suited.
The charity would also like to hear from Patterdale lovers who have previously owned this breed and anyone else who’d be committed to teaching the cheeky pooch ‘boundaries and fair rules’. Keen hikers and families with older children are welcome.
The shelter added:
Digger is handsome, and very friendly at kennels and we need to find him a home with experience as soon as possible.
Good Life Dog Rescue is a small volunteer-based charity that helps pups like Digger find their happy endings. It is based in Leeds, England. You can learn more about their work and support them on their website.
