During his short life, Stuart Little was abused beyond belief, starved to near death and tortured with lit cigarettes. The rescue that took him into their care can’t understand how the ‘scumbags’ behind it could be capable of such cruelty.

Found with cigarette burns on his head
Not even 8 weeks old, a tiny puppy was found in horrendous condition. He was emaciated and terrified. Named Stuart Little by his rescuers, he has two cigarette burns on his head. The shelter learnt that the ‘broken wee soul’ was placed in a bucket and kicked around by his tormentors.
Dog lovers were alerted on time and saved Stuart Little. He was then taken in by Northern Ireland-based Friends of Rescue charity.
‘He’s the sweetest wee soul’
Sadly, besides being underweight and physically hurt, the poor pooch has tested positive for giardia, a tiny parasite that causes the diarrheal disease giardiasis. Giardia is found on surfaces or in soil, food, or water that has been contaminated with faeces from infected people or animals.
According to the rescue, it was heartbreaking to see how Stuart Little’s ‘wee frail, thin body' was 'just about fighting it’.
To charity's relief, the little pooch responded well to medical care. He was put ‘on fluids’ and given treatment for parasites. He also got ‘some good food, little and often' to build him up.
Friends of Rescue said:
He is the sweetest wee soul and we are so glad he is with us. We would like to thank each and every person who was involved in his rescue. You saved his life. And to the scumbags who did this may you rot in hell.
Stuart Little is currently cared for by his foster mum. He is still very skinny and ‘taking it one day at a time’. But he will be ready for rehoming once the vets have got his condition under control.
