The Ashera cats are a hybrid of the Asian leopard cat, a domestic housecat, and the African serval, and they look the part. But despite multiple fierce felines coming together in one gorgeous breed, these fluffies are said to have canine-like characters.
The Ashera is currently the rarest and most expensive cat breed in existence. These exotic designer cats with a hefty price tag are magnificent pets with sociable and calm temperaments. They are known to bond well with their human companions.

These fancy kitties live amazingly long - up to 25 years - if they are well cared for and have no health problems typical for the breed.
Though their perfect coats require minimal grooming, these cats won’t do well in a small flat. Because of their high intelligence and playfulness, they need a living environment that will keep them mentally and physically active.

The Ashera breed was developed in a lab of the Los Angeles-based ‘Lifestyle Pets' company in 2007. The project was initiated under a great secrecy by Simon Brodie, the owner of the business, with the help of a team of geneticists.
Only a limited number of kittens have been sold by the ‘Lifestyle Pets’ since then. The company itself which at that time claimed to be able to create hypoallergenic pets, ceased its existence, much due to the controversy around their alleged genetic manipulations.
Ashera pure-bloods can still be bought from professional breeders for an eye-watering price, but anyone who can cough up this kind of money should be aware of the myriad of Ashera scams on the Internet.
