Binx had a heartbreaking start to life before he escaped and was rescued by kindhearted workmen who couldn’t leave him behind. Various burns across his body and a head injury suggest he suffered despicable abuse and has been tortured over some time. The RSPCA appeals for information about Binx’s ‘callous’ owner.

This kitten has been tortured
The eight-month-old Binx was first spotted wandering around a building site near Greater Manchester, England. After a couple of days of trying, workmen managed to safely rescue the cat and took him to one of the RSPCA’s branches.
The black feline had severe swelling to one side of his face and 'couldn’t see out of one of hiseyes'. He also had puss leaking from his chin, while his back and sides were covered in scars and open wounds. He was rushed to the vet where the full extent of the abuse was revealed.
The charity reports that even in this condition the sweet kitten Binx was purring and trying to rub up again staff for strokes.
RSPCA inspector Jess Pierce said:
Vet staff said the scalding burns are all of the different ages as if he had systematically been tortured over some time - perhaps by having hot water poured on him.
The injury to his head appears to be consistent with him being struck by something and has caused a swollen eye.
The RSPCA on a hunt for an animal abuser
As the injuries Binx suffered appear to be non-accidental, they prompted inspector Pierce to open a case in a bid to trace ‘the callous person' responsible for inflicting them on this poor kitten. The pet looked ‘pretty distinctive’, with his black coat and fine white lines from the scalds, when he was rescued, and Pierce hopes members of the public will step forward and share information to help the investigation.
She commented:
I'm hoping someone may know who owned such a cat in the local area. Anyone with information should call the RSPCA appeals line on 0300 1234 999.
According to the charity, Binx seems to have ‘endured a lot of pain at such a young age’ but despite that, he is a ‘super-friendly and loving cat’.
They wrote on Facebook:
Although Binx has been through something horrendous he is the sweetest boy most loving and trusting boy.
The fluffy is doing well in the RSPCA’s care and will be rehomed as soon as he is well and ready.
