Good Life Dog Rescue’s volunteers issued an urgent plea in a bid to rehome these ‘old ladies’ without breaking their hearts once again.

Bereaved pups
Good Life Dog Rescue received a ‘very sad’ phone call from a family who have recently lost their mum. The woman had three little senior dogs: Millie, a Bischon, Rosie, a Yorkshire terrier cross breed, and Luna, a rescue Jack Russell cross.
All these ladies are between 12 and 13 years old, spayed, up to date with vaccines and in very good shape. They have been loved and cherished by their mama.
The charity wrote on its website:
They truly have been the apple of their owners' lives for many many years.
Sadly, the family members can’t take all three pups onboard without separating them as they have other dogs. The bereaved pups are already traumatised, and splitting would break their hearts.
The rescue added:
We do not want to split them at any cost as they love each other dearly and are all bonded. It is hard enough losing your owner and many comforts are gained from bonded dogs in bereavement.
Looking for a new home
Good Life Dog Rescue issued an urgent appeal on social media in a bid to find a ‘retirement home’ for these bonded ‘oldies’. Although their post on Facebook reached over 50,000 people, the pups are still waiting for ‘a human with a very big heart and room to accommodate three small pensioners’.
The trio’s dream home would have an enclosed garden, basic home comforts and company throughout the day. They would be ideal for ‘a retired couple who has time, patience and love to give’. New owners’ patience is especially important as the adorable pups will need time to adjust to the unfamiliar environment.
Millie, Rosie and Luna ‘are agile enough’ to go for walks, they will enjoy a moderate activity and a few shorter adventures.
The tearful Good Life Dog Rescue’s volunteers pleaded:
Senior dogs ask for very little and give so much love in return. It is a big ask we know and we desperately need them to stay together.
