Primark’s click and collect

However, the traffic was so high following the launch that the Primark website crashed. Primark responded to complaints of their crashed website saying that they are doing all they can to enable their clients to access all the online services they want as soon as possible.

Primark has launched their latest service on a trial basis at 25 stores across the north-west of England, Yorkshire and Wales.

Previously their website allowed fans to browse their merchandise which includes clothes, toys, accessories, home goods etc, on the website of the brand. Now with the new service, fans would be able to complete their purchase at home and then pick up their Primark shopping at the collection points in the store.

Currently, there is a £15 minimum order value required to use this service. Shoppers would be able to collect their wares two days after they place their orders.

Primark’s announcement

The Guardian quotes Primark chief executive, Paul Marchant as saying,

The trial offers the convenience of browsing and shopping from the comfort of your home, while also providing customers living near one of our smaller stores, like Wallasey, as big a range as on offer in a much larger store like Liverpool.
Everyone, no matter their local store, will get access to lots of exclusive new products.
