Now, it seems like France wants its own fill of the drama dating reality competition show!
Love Island UK is a proper national institution and has already been exported in five countries: Australia, Germany, Sweden, Poland and the United States. None, however, were as popular as the original British series.
France is getting its own Love Island on Amazon! Oui oui!
ITV Studio French made the announcement on December 20:
'London, 7 November 2019 – Amazon Prime Video today announced that one of the biggest, most exciting and most talked, written and tweeted about TV formats in the world right now is coming to France,'
‘Love Island is finally coming to France and it is great news! This hit format from ITV Studios and Motion Content Group is a real social phenomenon in the UK, where it unleashes passions and sees its ratings beat record after record each season.' said Franck Firmin-Guion, ITV Studios France President.
The hopeful contestants will be entering the Winter Love Island South Africa villa on March 2. As for the host, French reality TV star Nabilla Benattia will be hosting the show.
